Dean for America: Common Sense is a pamphlet that Howard Dean wrote. Very very good reading for any patriot.

I have done it. I have written a 50,126 (or something like that) word novel in one month. Thirty days. I can't believe it. I typed the last word (which was "you" by the way) at around 1:50 yesterday afternoon. We popped open a bottle of champagne, and I sat bleary-eyed and dazed for the rest of the day and am still in that state today. I have been living completely and totally in my head, in a world that I created for a month now, and I am not 100% sure where that world ends and reality begins. I miss my characters today. I feel like I have abandoned them.
Maybe it is good to be a bit crazy if you are going to try and write fiction.
Tonight we will party with the other NaNoWriMo'ers at the Rickshaw. I even think that I am going to tackle another feat that I have never done, which is stand on a stage in front of strangers and read an excerpt from what I have written. I can do it. My God, I feel like I can do anything after what I have done this past month! I feel on top of the world. Maybe a few pounds heavier and with a nasty cigarette habit and the pallor of the underside of a toad, but I am a novelist.
